Sinfonía Foundation is a non profit organization, created through the initiative of a group of music lovers with the purpose of collaborating with the consolidation and projection of the National Symphony Orchestra of the Dominican Republic. The date for the eighth edition of the Santo Domingo Music Festival has been set for March 2, to 12, 2011. As is traditional there will be six concerts in the Main Hall of National Theater Eduardo Brito, with Maestro Philippe Entremont as Artistic Director.
Considering it of high educational interest, Sinfonia Foundation, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and by Collaboration Agreement with the Albéniz Foundation of Madrid, Spain, will opened the Magister Musicae Project in Santo Domingo and in Centro León in Santiago. Learn more
